Arthro Therapeutics (Joint Academy)

To increase accessibility of guideline recommended first line treatment for people with osteoarthritis, Arthro Therapeutics developed Joint Academy – an innovative digital platform based on scientific evidence that digitally delivers physical therapy and patient education.

In Joint Academy, patients with diagnosed hip- or knee OA receive daily individually adapted exercises and educational material, and patients can continuously connect with their personal physiotherapist via the platform, setup motivational goals and review them on a regular basis.

Currently, Joint Academy is collaborating with Volvat Norway, Capio Sweden and Apoteket AB and has during 2019 invited their first patients in the U.S.A. As of September 2019, Joint Academy treats about 2000 patients per day and some 10 000 patients in Sweden have participated in the program. The series A round was closed in 2018. The potential to grow the concept, scale the treatment and help even more patients with this debilitating disease is huge.
