LU Holding's portfolio
LU Holding is one of Sweden's most successful university-owned investment companies. Our portfolio consists of around 60 companies with a value of SEK 4.8 billion. By investing in unique, ground-breaking research from academia, we can contribute to commercializing research and solving societal challenges to transform Sweden into a more sustainable society.
LU Holding reinvests all income in new investments in companies and has made approximately 30 exits over the years. We are always ready to help more companies from academia to the market.
How we build companies
Together with the founders, we are actively working to build an entrepreneurial team supplemented by a professional board with industrial experience and networks. We help verify technology, work with business models and find the right market segment. This shortens the initial development journey and increases access to growth capital.
We invest at a very early stage, primarily in technology and life science. Equality is high on our agenda. We know, and the research shows, that companies with equal teams and boards perform better than other companies, so when we build companies, we strive to build them equal from the start.

About LU Holding
LU Holding AB is Lund University's investment company, and part of the university's overall innovation office. LU Holding is owned by the Swedish state but managed by Lund University. The holding company can support and finance start-ups, but also own, manage and sell shares in companies that have their origins in research at Lund University.
