Students – Early Stage Ideas

Do you have an idea that tackle one of our global challenges? Apply to get 40,000 SEK to work with it!

This is an opportunity to work full-time with your business idea during the summer months. The purpose of this scholarship is to support the development of early ideas aiming to create sustainable impact. The scholarship is open to all students at Lund University – no matter orientation of study, previous experience, or nationality.

The scholarship is a part of the Leapfrogs scholarship, where specific scholarships are earmarked for Lund University Sustainability Fund. Granted applications receive 40 000 SEK, as well as business coaching, workshops in e.g. sales pitching and a valuable network.

What do we mean by sustainability?

This grant targets projects that aims to deliver positive environmental and social impact with potential financial viability. Sustainable development is about fulfilling today’s needs without jeopardizing future generations’ opportunities to satisfy theirs. This requires a balance between economic growth, environmental care, and social well-being.

In the application form, we will ask you to motivate the idea’s sustainability impact.

Who can apply?

The applicant must be a student or alumni at Lund University, having at least one credit registered within one year from the project start. If you are a team, you can all apply to get the scholarship individually.

What can be funded?

The scholarship of 40 000 SEK is awarded to an individual, not an idea. The money is the equivalent of the CSN loan/grant for three months and is meant to allow you to work full-time with your project from June to August.
