They are distinct grants but share a common framework. Both adhere to the same commitments and criteria, and participants join the same workshops during the programme. However, Sustainability Leapfrogs is specifically for projects that aim to address societal or environmental challenges with long-term, measurable sustainability impacts. Sustainability Leapfrogs is funded through Lund University's Sustainability Fund and is therefore only open to students at Lund University. You cannot apply for both grants; you must choose the one that best aligns with your project's focus.

Be students at Lund University, Kristianstad University (HKR), or Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH).

Have a project with:

– A developed business hypothesis.

Yes, you may include images or graphs if they enhance your application. Please ensure that all attachments are clear and relevant. Do not attach any longer documents, as these will not be reviewed.

Leapfrogs requires a full-time commitment to your project during the programme period (June to August). Participants are expected not to undertake other full-time work or studies that would interfere with this commitment.

No, participants are expected to take a study break during the programme period and focus entirely on their project. Receiving CSN (student financial aid) concurrently with the Leapfrogs grant is not permitted.

Yes, you are allowed to participate in other competitions or programmes, provided they do not conflict with your commitment to Leapfrogs.

The total grant is 40,000 SEK per individual, disbursed in instalments during the project period.

We encourage teams of at least two people to apply. However, applications from individuals or teams of three may also be accepted. Each team member must submit an individual application. The grant is personal, but team members can allocate the funds within the team as they see fit.

Yes, multiple team members can apply. Whilst the grant is awarded to individuals, we typically award up to two grants per project. In exceptional cases, a third grant may be considered.

Yes, but each idea requires a separate application and must meet the eligibility criteria. Discuss your ideas with your coach to determine their suitability.

Yes, you can apply again if you have received funding previously. However, an individual can receive Leapfrogs funding a maximum of two times

Yes, international students are welcome to apply. However, attendance at the kick-off event and workshops during the summer is mandatory, and these are typically held in person. Please ensure you can commit to being present and onsite during these times.

No, you are not required to repay the grant if your project does not succeed, provided all information you supplied was accurate and you fulfilled the programme obligations.

If you choose to discontinue your project, you must inform us immediately. Further grant payments will be discontinued, and you may be required to return any unspent funds.

Whilst it is preferable to have a Swedish bank account for ease of transaction, it is not strictly necessary. Please discuss alternative arrangements with us if needed.

Your application should be thorough and clearly convey your project's objectives, progress, and plans for the summer. Whilst being concise is valuable, ensure you provide sufficient detail to allow the jury to assess your project's potential.
