Sustainability & project development
How can we support projects to build more than just financially sustainable businesses? What are we doing to contribute to the global sustainability goals?
With world-leading research and a unique disciplinary range, Lund University has excellent opportunities to contribute to solutions that can help us meet societal challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals.
For us at LU Innovation, sustainability is a priority area. There is a growing demand for new sustainable solutions, skills, and technologies. Societal challenges are becoming a stronger driving force for new solutions.
In order to be competitive and attract financial support and investments, you have to be able to actively reason about more than economic sustainability – even if your project does not originate from the idea of solving a societal problem.
A model to support projects in sustainability
We have, together with expert help in sustainability, developed a model for coaching and supporting our early-stage innovation projects and companies in sustainability. Together we look at the project's positive and negative impact and help to form a basis for strategic sustainability work. We do it so that the projects and companies that come from research and knowledge at Lund University will benefit society - in a sustainable way.
