Lund University and Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn’s Award for Future Innovations

LUND UNIVERSITY AND SPARBANKSSTIFTELSEN FINN ARE AWARDING SEK 200 000 TO GREAT IDEAS
Do you have a really good idea? An idea which could go far and perhaps become a new product, a new service or a new working method in the future? Or an idea to make something that already exists so much better?

We want to reward the innovations of the future – already today. Together with Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn, LU Innovation will award a total of SEK 200 000 to future innovations every year. The aim of the Lund University and Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn’s Award for Future Innovations is to promote an innovation-friendly culture within the University, and to encourage more new ideas that can lead to future innovations.

For whom?

If you are a student or employee at Lund University with an idea which is not fully developed and has not entered the commercial stage, you are welcome to participate. If there is more than one person behind the idea, at least one of you must be a student or employee at Lund University. We have two categories, Employee and Student, and we are giving out a first prize and two honorary awards in each category. We welcome ideas and projects within all disciplines.

Who wins?

We are looking for ideas that are not fully developed and that have yet to reach a commercial stage – in other words, your idea must not yet have generated any profit for you. In the assessment, emphasis is placed on:

  • high level of innovation
  • commercial potential and/or societal benefit
  • newsworthiness.

We have a well experienced and renowned jury to help us designate the winners.

The 2018 Award for Future Innovations opens for applications on 18 October 2017.
