In cases where LU Holding becomes a part-owner of a company, we also help out with:
- Credibility and weight
Lund University is Sweden's largest and strongest university, placed year after year among the world's top 100 higher education institutions in various rankings. Having LU Holding as a co-owner provides both credibility and weight – a strength that can be valuable, not least when contacting investors and cooperation partners.
- Administrative and legal support
Keeping things in good order is absolutely essential to running a company. For the first two years, we offer help with financial accounting, graphic material and an agreement package with all the legal agreements that a start-up company can require, for example.
- Equity capital
By investing in the company, we show that we believe in it. This also makes it easier for other investors to follow suit and invest their own money in the idea.
- Operational involvement
In order to give the company a secure start on its journey we also offer active involvement in the form of board expertise, project management, etc.
In order for the holding company to invest in a company, the latter must be assessed as having a major potential for growth and be based on innovative technology or methods. In addition, the researcher or researchers behind the company must be willing to take in external capital if necessary and to complete the team with further skills.
